Privacy at NexusXchange

Last updated October 2026. This page explains what data NexusXchange collects, why, who we share it with and what choices you have. This summary should be read alongside the notice shown when you provide data; we will publish a retention schedule by data category and standalone collection notices as these are finalised.

What we collect

Account details: name, email, phone number, role, and a password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
For shops, W-Collectors, automobile users and sponsors: business or organisation details and any PAN, GSTIN, vehicle/part details, verification or authorisation documents you submit. We request only information needed for the relevant feature or verification.
Listings and requests: device details, photos, locations you enter, quotes, bookings and messages in chats.
Technical data: device fingerprint, IP address, browser type, error logs and push-notification tokens, used for security and to keep the service running.
We do not collect or store card or UPI details; payments are handled by our payment provider.

How we use it

To run the service: match people, show chats and quotes, send notifications and emails, and support deals.
To keep it safe: prevent fraud and abuse, verify shops and collectors, and review concerns and disputes.
To analyse device photos with AI tools when you use features such as damage analysis or repair estimates.
We do not sell your personal data.

Who sees your details

Your personal phone and email are shared with a matched party only where you have given the required consent and the applicable payment condition has been met. Business or seller information may be displayed where required by law.
When a deal is completed, the NexusXchange admin team can see the name, phone number and email of the people involved in an internal closed-deals report. It is used only for reporting, support, fraud prevention and dispute handling, and it does not share your details with other users.
KYC documents are access-restricted and available only to authorised personnel and service providers who need them for verification or compliance.
Other users see listing, request and location information needed to consider or carry out a transaction. Do not include sensitive personal information in public listings or images.

Service providers we use

Supabase (database and private file storage), Cloudinary (images), Resend (email), Upstash (rate limiting), Firebase (push notifications), Razorpay (payments) and Render and GitHub (hosting and deployment).
AI providers such as Anthropic, Google (Gemini) and Groq may process device photos and descriptions you submit to AI features.
These providers process data for us under their own terms and security measures. Some may store data outside India.
We may share data when the law requires it or to protect users from fraud or harm.

How long we keep it

We retain account and transaction data while needed to provide the service, handle disputes, meet security needs and comply with legal record-keeping duties. The exact period depends on the data type and applicable law; we are working to publish a retention schedule for each category.
Security logs are retained for a limited operational period. When an account is deleted, we delete or anonymise data that we no longer need, subject to legal retention duties, unresolved claims and technical backup cycles.

You can contact us to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, withdraw a consent you gave, or raise a privacy concern. Statutory rights and timelines apply as the relevant provisions of Indian data-protection law come into force.
Write to the Grievance Officer at support@nexusxchange.co.in and identify your account and request. We will acknowledge and handle the request within applicable legal timelines.
Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully. We may retain information where required by law or needed to establish or defend a legal claim. Some features may stop working after withdrawal or deletion.

Security and changes

We use access controls, encrypted connections, private document storage and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your confirmation codes private.
Our service is for adults. If you believe a child has given us data, tell us and we will remove it.
We will update this page when our practices change.
